Our many thanks to you for your interest in the Paducah Symphony Orchestra and our efforts to expose our area’s youth to great orchestral concerts. This part of our website is dedicated to helping those of you who plan to attend the concert “The PSO’s Guide to the Orchestra” at the Carson Center, which will be presented by the Carson Center Class Acts Education Series in April, 2014. Links to excellent online games and resources for learning the instruments of the orchestra are given below in addition to a link to our very onw “PSO Tour of the Orchestra” video production, featuring some of the musicians you will hear and see at the concert. Schools who attend the concert will also be provided with a DVD of this video tour.
Carnegie Hall Listening Adventures – A game that teaches and reinforces the instruments of the orchestra and their sounds. Teachers can set up an account and have their students play the game individually online. Game progress and scores for each student are shown in a teacher report.
